As they progress in their disciplines, students are expected to engage with and contribute to the scholarly conversations in their field. But understandings about what it means to research, and expectations for participating in scholarly conversations, can vary across disciplines. This workshop will focus on helping participants identify disciplinary conventions for engaging in scholarly conversations and developing activities and assignments that support students’ ability to join in the conversations in their field.
