NIST Happy Hour! (with Dax Ovid and Mallory Rice). Using Instructor Talk to Promote a Positive Learning Environment
Description
How do students remember and perceive instructor language? Instructor Talk is the non-content language used by instructors in classrooms, and it is present in every life science course analyzed to date. Through a combination of activities, we will review examples of Instructor Talk that students remembered and reflect on how we might use non-content language to foster positive and inclusive learning environments.

RSVP here with the CLSE and by using this link above. Following the workshop, email Erica Szeyller.1 to confirm your attendance for the full event time. If you were not able to attend the full event, email Erica Szeyller.1 to discuss the possibility of 5001 course points.
