** THIS EVENT INCLUDES A REQUIRED REFLECTION and is only for lecture instructors. One challenge for lecturers is finding large blocks of time to put their ideas for teaching into action. In this new series designed for associated faculty, we use 15-minute online meetings spread out over the term to make teaching development manageable. Discuss challenges and questions about a topic, review foundational strategies, then plan and share small changes to implement each month. Drop in for some fresh ideas on your lunch break or attend the whole series as a way to complete a large project across the term. Do you have an assignment that’s just not working? An inspired idea you’re excited to put into practice? (re)Design an assignment with support from UCAT and your lecturer peers over the course of 7 brief webinars. Using evidence based strategies, participants will design a clear assignment prompt, create a meaningful rubric and identify academic supports for an assignment that engages students, measures the learning you care about, and makes your grading more efficient.
