This directed reading series is for instructors (UTAs, GTAs, CTAs, lecturers) of all levels to dive into the literature around metacognition (understanding of one’s own thought processes). Each week participants will read the facilitators assigned reading and will arrive ready to discuss the contents. There will be a total of 4 weeks in the series.
This week, the group will be reading selections from: Zohar, A., & Barzilai, S. (2013). A review of research on metacognition in science education: Current and future directions. Studies in Science Education, 49(2), 121-169.
