At the Aug 25th meeting, we will be talking about knowing your students and POGIL (Process Oriented Guided Inquiry Learning) at the first meeting.

For anyone who needs a refresher, CRUST is a community for STEM TAs here at Ohio State with three major focuses: 1) Professional development 2) Community building 3) Exploration of research-based teaching practices. CRUST will be great for people who are interested in pursuing a teaching position in the future or have a passion for education. To our knowledge, CRUST is the first and only student org at OSU that focuses on professional development for STEM educators. CRUST also provides a space for TAs to connect with each other.

Autumn meetings will be on the following Wednesdays  at 4pm:
August 25th (Knowing our students)
September 15th (Theories of learning)
October 6th (Selecting teaching methods and techniques)
October 27th (Course design)
November 17th (Creating assignments)
December 8th (Social)
