Description
The Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Education Program supports the area of Strategic Diversity Planning, Training, and Assessment within The Office of Diversity and inclusion. Our goal is to support campus-wide efforts in creating an equitable, socially just institution where all of our students, faculty and staff feel they are valued and belong.
Microaggressions cause harm in every workplace. Yet many of us remain confused about what a microaggression is, how to know if one is happening / has happened, and the numerous ways microaggressions impact others. This 90-minute workshop offers a deep dive into microaggressions, microaggessive terminology, and the impacts of microaggressions on our everyday lives. By offering participants the opportunity to expand their knowledge of microaggressions, our workshop aims to encourage the understanding, compassion and confidence necessary to identifying microaggressions and intervening when they are happening.
*This event will be presented with automated closed captions. If you are in need of additional CART services or other accommodations, please contact Sophia Antoun at Antoun.5@osu.edu or 614-292-2646. Requests made two weeks in advance will generally allow us to provide seamless access, but the university will make every effort to meet requests made after this timeframe.
Make sure you RSVP with the CLSE and the hosting unit!
