We will be reading Barbara E. Fassler Walvoord’s Effective Grading: A Tool for Learning and Assessment in College

- Hard copies are available on reserve at OSU's Biological Pharmacy library (BPL)
You will be expected to read the assigned chapters prior to attending the book group each week. You can write discussion prompts each week and post them on the associated Carmen Discussion board for an additional 2 points.
8-10 points total: 2 points per meeting for reading ahead and contribution to discussion; 2 additional points if adds questions to Carmen discussion board prior to meeting each week.

- Log on to the Biology 5001 Carmen Page.
- Use these directions to join the Effective Grading Book Group:https://community.canvaslms.com/t5/Student-Guide/How-do-I-join-a-group-as-a-student/ta-p/468
- Click in to the group then select "Discussions" in the left hand navigation. From there you can contribute your discussion question(s) in the discussion for the appropriate chapters.
- It is expected that you submit at least one discussion prompt per chapter to receive the additional 2 points
