Introduction to the Drake Institute’s New Instructional Redesign Program

The Drake Institute’s Instructional Redesign (IR) Program has been redesigned! This program recognizes and rewards eligible Ohio State instructors (0.75 FTE and above) with $1,150 for adopting evidence-based approaches to teaching and now includes all-new, accelerated IR program tracks in addition to an improved IR portfolio track option. Whether planning to teach a new course for the first time or repeating a course you’ve taught for years, please join us for this information session to learn how you can be supported, recognized and rewarded for excellence in teaching through the new IR!

After this workshop participants will be able to: 

  • Describe the new structure of the Drake Institute’s Instructional Redesign (IR) Program.
  • Identify an appropriate program track and the associated steps required to successfully complete IR Program.
  • Locate resources and programming designed to support professional learning around evidence-based instruction.
  • List components required to complete an IR plan and/or portfolio for their course.
