Description
Inspired by the mobile summer institute, 2 groups of TAs, facilitated by Luba Cubonova and Dave Sovic, have come together to create 25-minute teachable tidbits to be used in a lecture setting. During this session, the group will present their tidbit as well as their rationale when developing it. Participants will be asked to review the tidbits and provide constructive feedback to the presentation groups.
I hear that their tidbits are on the topics of phylogenies (“Reptiles”, Dinosaurs, and Birds, Oh My!: A phylogenetic dissection) and a game involving HOX genes.
This is a great way to support fellow CLSE'ers while learning more about student-centered instruction, and activity development.
Please RSVP if you plan to attend.
