This week we will be having Officer Cassi Shaffer discuss how to deal with an active shooter or a student with emotional distress. In particular, the presentation consists of understanding what an active threat is, motivation of the suspect, some stats, the OSUPD video, strategies, and two hands on activities (controlled). The presenters goal is to present enough basic information, while giving hands on experience to the participants. I have personally attended this session in the past year and found it to be incredibly engaging and useful.
