This workshop will assist faculty and instructors who are new to teaching in higher education, but also those who are new to Ohio State, with the steps needed to prepare to teach their first semester at Ohio State.  Participants will learn about how to get started, resources for wellness, and opportunities for continued professional development to enhance their teaching.

After this workshop participants will be able to:

  • identify the key tasks that need to be completed to get ready to teach their first semester at Ohio State
  • locate the teaching policies and resources at Ohio State
  • utilize information about teaching at Ohio State to prepare for the classes they are teaching each semester
  • describe future plans for enhancing their teaching through the professional development opportunities offered at the Drake Institute for Teaching and Learning and other campus departments
