Description
Classroom discussion can be an effective method for getting students involved in most types of classes. In this workshop, participants will have a chance to plan their own class discussion with the support of their peers. We will discuss how to design effective discussion prompts and also how to encourage and maintain student involvement. In addition, we will address some of the unique challenges of facilitating classroom discussions in a face-to-face but online environment like Zoom. The workshop is designed with novice TAs and faculty members in mind, but all are welcome to attend.
If you have registered for this event, or are on the waitlist and require an accommodation such as live captioning or interpretation to participate, please contact drakeinstitute@osu.edu .
