Description
At the end of this session, participants will be able to choose one or more tech tools to enhance an active learning strategy in a course, make initial planning decisions about implementation of the tool(s), and identify resources for technology services, training, and support. The session will be held in an Active Learning Classroom where participants will engage in multiple activities to discover how technology can enhance active learning in their own courses. We’ll be looking at classroom polling, wikis, mobile devices/apps, and other technologies that can help create a more active, student-centered experience. Technology Enhanced Active Learning is part of a workshop series developed in partnership with the University Center for the Advancement of Teaching (UCAT) in support of the Innovative Spaces Program, a campus-wide initiative to foster transformational teaching and learning in OSU’s Active Learning Classrooms.
